The primary idea of this platform is to enable a meaningful discussion is where everyone is given an equal opportunity either join an existing dialog or to initiate a completely new one.
Participants shall communicate to each other in the essay form, that is via texts of 350-1000 words in length, which are more or less structured and rich of comprehensive and meaningful ideas. All communications need to be conducted in English language and can be posted only once a day.
While moderation is not intended, the founders reserve the right to keep discussions civil and legal.
To upload an essay (also applies to replies) each participant is required to come up with a signature, that is a string of at least 8 symbols (should be thought of as a password). A participants’ signature is uploaded to the server together with an essay but is not stored there. It is being hashed and then converted into a human-friendly username on the fly and a certain signature can only result in a single username (a signature can be converted to a username, but not wise versa). Thus, if a participants uploads an essay under a certain username – only he/she knows the signature is has been derived from.
Participants are encouraged to compete for the highest rank. The said rank is measured in power levels, which are earned by either replying to someone else’s essay (+3), uploading an original essay (+2) or receiving a reply (+1).
